Humio completes a $9M Series A funding round led by Accel.

Humio, an Aarhus, Denmark and London UK-based company providing software solutuions for log management software, announced that it completed a $9M capital investment round.

The round was led by Accel and money will be used to grow the company's business, expanding its research and development teams and moving into more markets across the globe.

In conjunction with the funding, Andrei Brasoveanu from Accel will join Humio’s board, and Adrian Colyer will be a board observer.

Humio, founded in 2016 by CEO Geeta Schmidt, Christian Hvitved and Kresten Krab Thorup, was incubated at Trifork, a specialist European technology incubator. The company has developed an innovative software solution that provides immediate value to businesses in monitoring vast amounts of machine big data.

Humio enables data aggregation, exploration, reporting and analysis from a range of sources ingesting massive volumes of log data instantly. Its innovative data storage and in-memory search/query engine technologies provide customers a log management and analysis solution, requiring less hardware and engineering resources.

The company reports increased annual revenue by over 13x for 2018, from customers including Bloomberg, Microsoft, Netlify, Lunar Way, SpareBank 1, On the Dot, and Logibec.

Prior to this deal, Humio secured almost $3M in capital.
