HungryPanda secures funding of $70 million from Kinnevik, 83North and Felix Capital.
HungryPanda, a London, UK-based business operating an online foor ordering platform for Chinese customers, announced that it secured $70 million in equity funding.
The money was raised from Investment AB Kinnevik, which contributed with half of the money, together with 83 North and Felix Capital. The round was also funded by Piton Capital, VNV Global and BurdaPrincipal Investments.
HungryPanda, founded in 2017 by CEO Eric Liu, focuses on delivering traditional food to a Chinese customer audience. The company has a community-focused approach allowing to create an attractive sub-segment within the overall online food delivery market.
The business is already profitable in the UK and other major cities such as New York, backed by 500 employees operating in 6 countries across the world, serving 47 cities.
HungryPanda is one of the many online grocery startups from Europe funded by venture money.
