iotis raises €2.15 million in seed funding from Germany investors.
iotis, a Hannover, Germany-based wearable company developing smart products for the sports business, announced completing a seed funding round closed at €2.15 million ($2.4M).
The money was raised locally from German investors, including inQventures and the sports tech company Riedel Communications, joined by Lower Saxony governmental fund managers including Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Niedersachsen (MBG) and Hannover Beteiligungsfonds (HBF).
iotis, founded in 2020 by CEO Lennardt Hachmeister, Christian Sist and Fabian Ernst, aims to digitize ball sports as it is integrating sensor technology and complex algorithms, connected to a training platform. The first product will be a smart soccer ball, followed by other ball sports such as golf or table tennis.
