Kivra, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing digital mail services, secured SEK 25M ($3M) in a new investment round.

The money comes from existing investors, including 41:an Invest AB and FAM.

Kivra, founded in 2011 and led by CEO and co-founder Stefan Krook, developed a business service that acts as an unique platform for securely receiving, uploading and storing postal mail in one place.

The company operates under two firms in Sweden, Kivra AB and Kivra Sverige AB, with the first owning entirely the latter. Both were not profitable as of 2016 - Kivra AB had SEK 34.8M ($4.1M) in sales and Kivra Sverige AB SEK 6.9M ($830k).

Prior to this deal, Kivra has raised more than $8M in funding.

According to the Swedish media, the company expects the business to pick up as soon as the Swedish government will have changed the regulations regarding the official postage sending process, as the governmental institutions are still using a physical system, as opposed to a centralised digital one, which Kivra provides.

Total investments received (USD): 49.55M
