La Ruche Qui Dit Oui! announced adding funding from Cipio Partners.
La Ruche Qui Dit Oui!, a Paris, France-based online grocery business, announced getting into an investment agreement for adding Cipio Partners as shareholders in the company.
The deal is a mix of capital injection and secondary sale and has financial details and other specifics undisclosed.
La Ruche Qui Dit Oui!, founded in 2010 by Guilhem Chéron, Marc-David Choukroun and Mounir Mahjoubi and led by CEO Grégoire de Tilly, developed a farm-to-the-table business concept, which is an online food marketplace that enables producers to sell their ultra-fresh products directly to local consumers at a fair price.
The company has developed an entire range of complementary distribution channels, both online and offline, across Europe. Its online marketplace is supported by a large physical network of La Ruche hosts – passionate women and men who serve as the conduit – connecting famers with consumers at local produce collection points, known by the community as ‘Ruches’ or ‘weekly Assemblies’. In addition, it has established « La Ruche a la Maison », a grocery delivery service, and has started building a network of small grocery stores.
La Ruche Qui Dit Oui! is active in France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland and has 10,000 farmers, 1,000 beehives and 80,000 active regular monthly subscribers.
Previous investors include Union Square Ventures of US, Felix Capital from UK and Astanor Ventures from Belgium.
