Lassie, a Stockholm, Sweden-based provider of digital insurance services for pet owners, raised €11 million ($11.6M) in a series A equity round.

The money was raised from investors led by UK-based VC Felix Capital, joined by existing investors Inventure from Finland and Passion Capital from Britain.

Lassie was founded in 2020 by CEO Hedda Båverud Olsson, Sophie Wilkinson and Johan Jönsson and sells insurance for pets with a focus on preventative healthcare. That means the company provides discounts for customers who engage with Lassie’s content in order to have them educated about potential pet health hazards.

Lassie previously was funded by angel investors from Sweden, which backed the company in the summer of 2021 and in 2020, and later raised €2 million seed in 2021.

The company is part of the list of promising insurtech startups from the Nordics.
