LaterPay raised €8.9 million in funding

LaterPay, a New York, United States-based company providing frictionless buying, tipping and selling platform for digital content, secured a capital round of €8.9 million in funding ($10M).

The money was raised from its existing investors in a further financing round. The company is supported by Flaregames founder Klaas Kersting, Swisscom Mobile CEO Adrian Bult and the Schoeller family. 

Proceeds will be used for further development of the transaction business and the development of the platform.

LaterPay, founded in 2010 by Cosmin Ene and Jonas Maurus, simplifies payments on the Internet. In addition to a classic immediate purchase option, LaterPay also allows customers to buy digital content such as articles now and pay later.
