Lifecarex, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a digital healthcare platform for preventative support, announced getting into a capital raise agreement for SEK 60M ($6.8M).

The funding was provided by local investors based in Sweden, including Tagehus Holding and angel investors Konrad Bergström and Per Båtelson.

Lifecarex, led by CEO Annette Brodin Rampe, was founded in 2017 as the company acquired an R&D project from US-based healthcare provider Dartmouth-Hitchcock. The tech offers preventative support by detecting and acting on small changes in a particular health situation - the system is suitable for patients suffering from the lung disease carbon monoxide, diabetes, heart failure, high blood pressure and covid-19. Imaginecare was part of a one year pilot study in a local Swedish region (the Jämtland / Härjedalen region) with 400 patients.
