Lightheart Entertainment raised $6.8 million in Series A funding led by Makers Fund.
Lightheart Entertainment, a Helsinki, Finland-based mobile gaming startup studio, announced the completion of a $6.8 million Series A funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Makers Fund, joined by existing shareholders from Galaxy Interactive, Sisu Game Ventures, and undisclosed angel investors.
The proceeds will be used for studio growth and creation of new games.
Lightheart Entertainment, founded in 2019 and led by CEO Kalle Kaivola, developed and launched a first title named Mr Autofire at the end of 2019, which the company says it generated over $10 million in revenue to date.
The company previously raised €1.3 million ($1.4 million) in 2020 in a round led by Galaxy Interactive's fund, Galaxy EOS VC Fund.
