Lokalise announced raising a $6 million funding round led by Mike Chalfen and including other angel investors.
Lokalise, a Riga, Latvia and London, UK-based software company, announced that it secured funding of $6 million.
The money was provided by a range of angel investors led by Mike Chalfen, and including contributions from Andrey Khusid via S16, capital300, Nicolas Dessaigne, Des Traynor, Matt Robinson, Rich Waldron, Ali Russell, Dom Lewis, Carlos Gonzalez-Cadenas, Eugene Katz, Stephane Kurgan and Charlie Songhurst.
Lokalise, founded in 2017 by Petr Antropov and Nick Ustinov, developed a SAAS providing localization optionality for software, apps, websites, and other digital assets. That means developers have access to a powerful APIs, CLI tool, mobile SDKs, and comprehensive documentation helping them build localised software versions, adapted to and including translated content to local markets.
The company, which operates via a Delaware, USA-incorporated company, generates $4 million in recurring revenue, having worked with over 1,500 customers in 80 countries, from early-stage businesses, to scaleups, to Fortune500 companies, including Revolut, Yelp, Virgin Mobile, and Notion.
Prior to this round, Lokalise has been bootstrapped.
