Luggage Hero completed a $1.7M capital investment round.

LuggageHero, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company providing a service for short-stay tourists to drop off their luggage in a network of local shops and cafes, announced closing in a DKK 10.8M ($1.7M) capital investment round.

The money was provided by a group of Danish investment companies, including Nordic Eye (which contributed with 8.5M), Vækstfonden and Innovationsfonden. Funding will be used for the company's plans looking to expand in 1700 new locations from 36 cities in North America and Europe.

Luggage Hero, founded under the name Dropnlocal in 2016 by Jannik Lawaetz, offers a service for short-stay tourists to drop off their luggage in a network of local shops and cafe. The company currently operates over 300 luggage storage locations in Copenhagen, London and New York.

Priro to this, LuggageHero raised almost $400k from private business angels.
