Meatable announced raising €2M from Agronomics.
Meatable, a Delft, Netherlands-based producer of alternative, lab-grown food products, announced that it secured a €2M ($2.4M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from the British investors from Agronomics. Post transaction, Agronomics will control 5.7% of the equity - the company has invested a total of €5M in the company.
Meatable, founded in 2018 by Daan Luining, Krijn De Nood, Mark Kotter, intends to change the meat industry’s impact on climate change and animal welfare by offering cultivated meat. Meatable’s technology is built and optimised by Stanford and Cambridge scientists to produce large batches of the cells needed to make meat in a matter of days to weeks.
