Metrikus, a London, UK-based software developer for the real estate industry, announced that it completed a series A capital funding round.

The round is doubling the company’s total funding to £5 million since it was founded in May 2019. RentaMarkets, a Spanish independent financial services group, acted as the underwriter for itself and on behalf of several other private investors.

Metrikus, founded as Asset Mapping and renamed in 2019 by Michael Grant, Adrian Purvis and Gary Cottle, developed a software solution used to gather information from building systems and other sensors to help our customers understand their buildings.

The smart-buildings software platform gives owners and occupiers a secure, ‘single-pane-of-glass’ view of the operation and performance of their building. Managers can plug in any type of sensor to monitor everything from footfall and energy use to indoor air quality.
