Mindstep in a £2.5 million seed round led by Octopus Ventures.
Mindstep, a London, UK-based startup building a tech-enabled neurological healthcare business, announced completing a seed funding round closed at £2.5 million ($3.4M).
The money was raised from investors led by Matthieu Vallin from the Octopus Ventures and joined by VC funds Calm/Storm Ventures, The Capital Partnership, and Venture Together.
Mindstep, founded in 2017 by CEO Hamzah Selim, developed a health practice aiming to identify mental health issues like anxiety, depression and other dementia risk factors. It does that via a dementia screening tool which uses validated clinical guidelines, artificial intelligence analytics, and a friendly user interface. The prdouct is yet to be launched, as it is undergoing clinical trials with the UK’s regulatory body, the MHRA.
Mindstep previously raised £325K from multiple local angel investors from London, including Jean Nehme, Mark Evans, Cassandra Stavrou, Charlie Tarr, Duncan Bray, Mehdi Ghissassi, Nate Dalton, Mitchell Kaye, Rich Pierson, Robert Goldbaum, and Harry Briggs
