Mojn, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup providing retargeted email services, announced that it was acquired by the American company LiveIntent.

LiveIntent operates a platform that provides a smarter way to market and advertise in email.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Mojn, founded in 2009 by Thomas Dahl Jensen and Carsten Hyldahl, is renowned for its novel approach among the people-based marketing thought leaders as Europe's leading company for onboarding client data across channels without Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

The company built a product called The No Identity Graph, a concept that refers to the means by which a platform recognizes a user across devices and channels in order to serve the same person consistent marketing irrespective of device and channel, allowing for measurement and attribution online and offline (which is not possible with cookies alone). The No Identity Graph aims to replace a standard already existing in the market called PII.

Mojn was venture backed by Northzone, Notion Capital and Zoar Invest.

Total investments received (USD): 4M
