Monolith AI raised £8.5 million in Series A funding led by Insight Partners, and joined by investors Pentech and Touchstone.
Monolith AI, a London, UK-based software startup developing an AI-powered engineering platform, announced completing a £8.5 million Series A funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by the Americans from Insight Venture Partners, and joined by Pentech, Touchstone, Apex Black, the Stanford Angels of the UK and Formula E and Extreme E founder Alejandro Agag.
Monolith, founded as Uquant in 2016 by CEO Richard Ahlfeld, developed a software framework that allows design and engineering teams to capitalise on existing CAD, simulation, and test data, using it to predict the behaviour of future designs without the need, or cost, of performing new simulations or tests. Customers include major brands BMW, Honda, Siemens, and BAE Systems,
Monolith Ai previously raised a litlle less than $3 million.
