Neptune AI secures $8 million in a round led by Almaz Capital.

Neptune.ai, a Warsawa, Poland-based software startup developing enterprises SAAS for metadata model management, announced it raised $8 million in series A funding.

The money was raised from investors led by US-based Almaz Capital, and joined by existing investors: btov Partners, Rheingau Founders, and TDJ Pitango.

Neptune Ai, founded in 2017 by CEO Piotr Niedzwiedz, developed a software tool used for tracking and model registry for teams doing ML at a reasonable scale - a single place to log, store, query, display, organize, and compare all the model metadata generated during a machine learning model lifecycle. The repository enables ML developers to easily backtrack ML experiments and have complete control over their model development efforts – without worrying about dealing with folder structures, unwieldy spreadsheets and naming conventions common today. It offers enterprises unprecedented insight into the evolution of their models and also saves time and money by automating metadata bookkeeping. The company says that it onboarded on the platform 20,000 ML engineers and 100 commercial customers, including Roche, NewYorker, Nnaisense and InstaDeep.

Neptune AI has previously raised $3 million in 2020.
