New Roots added more funding from existing investor Blue Horizon Corporation.

New Roots, a Thun (Bern), Switzerland-based alternative food manufacturer, announced that it completed a capital investment round.

The money was provided by existing investor Blue Horizon Ventures.

New Roots, founded in 2016 by CEO Freddy Hunziker, is a producer of 100% plantbased cheese, following traditional cheesemaking techniques. The company product range includes eight tasty cheeses including cream cheese, ricotta, camembert and fresh cheese with different herbs and spices as they aim to create a real artisan vegan cheese. In addition to helping people transition to a plant-based diet, New Rootsis committed to improving each step of their process, from transporting the nuts to shipping the cheese; they try their best to reduce their environmental impact.
