Nordetect secured capital investment from Rockstart, PreSeed Ventures, SOSV, and Luminate Venture Corp.
Nordetect, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based biochemical analysis company that makes biosensors, hardware and data management systems for precision agriculture, announced that completed a capital investment round.
The round, which was closed in February 2020, was financed by a range of international and Danish investors, including SOSV, Rockstart, PreSeed Ventures, and Luminate Venture Corp.
Nordetect, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Keenan Pinto, helps farmers improve fertilizer usage on their fields through a product that delivers immediate in-field results for chemical analysis.
The product uses Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Kalium (or NPK) via nanosensors covering all nutrient types and test soil, leaf samples, manure, water and other organic materials.
Customers include Agronomists and Farm-services companies, as the company provides farmers with rapid results from soil tests. The device and test kits are supplemented with a software platform, which integrates with farm management software that is already on the market, including Excel.
