Nordic Power Convertors secured $910k from new and existing investors.

Nordic Power Convertors, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based manufacturer of efficient energy converters, secured DKK 6M ($910k) in capital investment.

The money was provided by new and existing investors, including Niels Kjærgaard, Susanne Leth, Keld Sørensen, PreSeed Ventures and Vækstfonden.

Nordic Power Convertors, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Mickey Madsen, originates from DTU, the Technical University of Denmark. The company has developed a piece of technology known as Very High Frequency Switch Mode Power Supplies (VHF SMPS), which is a power converter that is five times smaller and lighter and has 2-5 times longer lifetime than current power converters.
