Nordsense raises DKK 13.2M for a waste management IoT solution.

Nordsense, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup providing a turnkey IOT (internet of things) solution for waste management, closed a DKK 13.2M ($2.1M) investment round.

The money comes from a range of US-based investors, including Root Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates, Juha Christensen, Klaus Oestermann and Peter Jensen.

Nordsense, founded in 2015 by CEO Søren Christensen and Manuel Maestrini, developed a simple and complete end to end solution that optimizes waste collection processes by monitoring container levels, applying advanced data analytics and delivering a dynamic and event driven turn-by-turn navigation for waste vehicles.
