Nucaps Nanotechnology raised €400k from Clave et all
Nucaps Nanotechnology, a Navarra, Spain-based nanotech manufacturer, announced that received a capital injection of €400k ($440k).
The funding was raised through the UN R & D & I Tech Transfer Fund, managed by the private equity manager Clave, CNTA and the University of Navarra. Clave joins the current partners of the startup with this investment: University of Navarra, CNTA and Idifarma, joining its Board of Directors
This contribution will provide Nucaps with liquidity and incorporate into its portfolio new technologies developed by researchers from the University of Navarra and CNTA to promote the industrialization of nanocapsules and thus meet market demands. Specifically, the funds contributed will be used to provide society with productive means to encapsulate bioactive and probiotics and continue with the expansion of the company. It will also allow to continue strengthening the Nucaps technical team with the hiring of qualified personnel.
Nucaps Nanotechnology, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Mariano Oto, offers a new encapsulation technology for the industrial development of nanocapsules and biocapsules for bioactives and probiotics. Its patents of bioavailable capsules of natural proteins, customizable and free of preservatives, achieve the protection and improvement of the active ingredients introduced into the capsules, providing them with greater efficacy and stability.
