Oyster to get a $20m Series A funding round led by Emergence Capital
Oyster, a London, UK and San Francisco, USA-based SAAS developer of a HR platform for globally distributed companies, announced the completion of a $20m Series A funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by Emergence Capital and included contributions from the Slack Fund and Connect Ventures.
Oyster, founded in 2019 by CEO Tony Jamous and Jack Mardack, developed a SaaS HR platform for companies to manage geographically distributed workforces in over 100 countries. The company operates a software-based employment platform designed to fix the broken international hiring model as it enables users to hire globally, make payroll, and give great local benefits to their distributed team around the world.
Oyster is itself a fully remote company with a diverse, globally-distributed team and previously raised $4.2 million in 2020.
