Papu has raised just under 500 000 euros through a crowdfunding campaign

Papu Design, a Nokia, Finland-based producer and retailer of kids clothing, raised EUR 500k ($620k) in an equity crowfunding campaign.

The money comes from 618 new shareholders involved in the 41-day long campaign to raise the total number of shareholders to 770. Women accounted for over 70 per cent of the backers and almost 60 per cent of the funds raised by the ethical children’s clothing company through the campaign.

Prior to this, in 2015, Papu raised EUR 117k in another equty crowdfunding campaign on Invesdor.

Papu Design, founded in 2012 by Anna Kurkela and her husband, Jussi Kurkela, designs and sells clothing collections aimed mainly to children aged 0-12 years.
