PlusDental, a Berlin, Germany-based dentistry company, announced the completion of a €35 million ($41.3M) capital investment round.

The money was raised from investors led by Jebsen Capital, the investment division of the HK based family business Jebsen Group, and existing investors.

German football player Mario Götze is also backing the company in this round.

PlusDental, founded in 2017 as Sunshine Smile and led by CEO Peter Baumgart, was initially an ecommerce operation for selling sets of transparent splints for teeth straightening - customers were to make an imprint of their teeth at home, send it back, and receive a tailor-made set of splints.

PlusDental previously raised a €32 million funding round led by Ping An Global Voyager Fund in May 2020 and a growth capital round from Cadence Capital in November 2020.

Total investments received (USD): 76.23M
