PocketLaw in a €10 million series A round led by Atomico.

PocketLaw, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup providing legal services, announced getting into a series A equity round agreement for raising €10 million ($11M).

The money was raised from investors led by Atomico and joined by multiple angel investors including Hanno Renner, Jonas Rieke, Christian Reber, Jeppe Rindom, Gloria Baeuerlein and Allison Pickens. Ben Blume of Atomico is also joining the board.

Proceeds will be used for expansion across Europe and support the ongoing efforts to scale the PocketLaw team of legal, technical and operational experts.

PocketLaw was founded in 2019 by CEO Kira Unger and Olga Beck-Friis as part of the legal tech incubator MSA Innovation Lab, funded and founded by the Mannheimer Swartling, one of the largest Sweden-based law firm. It provides legal services as well as a SaaS platform used for contract creation and management with multiple contract templates.

The company says it has handled business for around 6,000 customers to date - including startups such as Voi, Kry/Livi, Juni and Estrid, and consumer SMEs such as Punchy Drinks, as well as some larger enterprises such as Babybjorn and Schibsted.

Prior to this round, PocketLaw raised a total of $2.4 million locally from angel investors from Sweden - $1 million in 2020 and $1.4 million in 2021.
