Podimo, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company operating a podcast platform, announced that it completed a €15 million ($16.5M) capital investment round.

The money was provided by investors led by 83North and including participation from existing shareholders Heartcore and e.ventures. The last two backed the company in a €6 million ($6.8M) seed investment round closed in 2019.

The proceeds will be used for the development of the platform’s curation and discovery abilities, the creation of original content as well as an for an analytics feature.

Podimo, founded in 2018 by CEO Morten Strunge, Nikolaj Koppel, Andreas Sachse and Sverre Dueholm, developed a podcast and short-form audio platform that offers personalised recommendations for users against a paid subscription. The company's model involves revenue sharing with its creators.
