preVet raises $280k from Nascent Invest and Helene Adalberth.

preVet, an Uppsala, Sweden-based startup providing a mobile application for intermmediating the communication between horse owners and veterinary doctors, announced in a press release that it secured SEK 2.5M ($280k) in capital investment.

The money was provided by Nascent Invest and by Helene Adalberth, who will also work full time for the company as a product manager.

preVet AB, founded in 2017 by CEO Jenny Gagnér, developed a mobile solution for the horse owners interested to find a veterinarian. The company, which was part of a startup incubator at Uppsala Innovation Center, UIC, launched its service in 2018 and is part of a project with Horse Clinic and the Ambulatory Clinic at UDS financed by Vinnova. In 2019, preVet expects to launch a bigger service aimed for other animals than horses.
