Prion secured $470k from Icebreaker and a group of Nordic angel investors.

Prion, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup developing a software solution for the education industry, announced the completion of a SEK 4.4 million ($470k) capital investment round.

The funding was provided by new and existing investors from the Nordics, including Niklas Zennström, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, Sebastian Knutsson and Icebreaker.vc. The money from the investment will be used to expand the sales team, to expand the service avalability and the product development.

Prion, founded in 2014 by CEO Fredrika Bernadotte, built a software platform fully adapted for preschool and aiming to facilitate the communication between the school and the parents. The company launched its product in the fall of 2017 and has several hundred customers from Sweden.

Prior to this announcement, Prion raised a pre-seed round in 2017.
