Quin in a $15 million Series A round led by Portage Ventures and joined by Horizons Ventures, embedded/capital and sino AG.
Quin, a Berlin, Germany-based digital investment advisor, raised $15 million series A round.
The money was raised from investors led by Canada based VC Portage Ventures, joined by sino AG, Horizons Ventures, embedded/capital and angel investors Maximilian Tayenthal (N26 founder) and Erik Podzuweit (Scalable Capital founder).
Quin, founded in 2020 by CEO Christian Rokitta and Raphael Steil, built a mobile and web-based sigital advising platform aimed at private investors who want to have ETF portfolios created according to their individual needs. The company's platform also supports the selection of the best broker for the user - Quin itself does not maintain any accounts or custody accounts. Quin doesn’t charge any fees or commission on the capital invested but plans to introduce a paid version of the product that would add premium functions, other investment options and allow users to connect with multiple banks.
Quin says it has around 200, 000 users in Germany and the DACH region and expects to expand its English-speaking community to make its service accessible to a broader user base.
Prior to this round, Quin raised €1 million in a seed round led by Sino AG with participation from Runa Capital and APX.
