Recycla raises $660k in funding from GU Ventures, GoKap and Almi Invest.

Recycla, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based company managing a marketplace for waste and recycling services, announced in a press release securing SEK 6M ($660k) in capital investment.

The money is provided by Swedish investors, including GU Ventures, GoKap, Almi Invest and a range of local angel investors. The capital funding will be used to recruit more staff, further expansion of affiliated and approved recycling companies, and increased marketing and technology development.

Recycla, founded in 2011 by Carl-Ivar Ahlqvist and CEO Sebastian Tamm, developed a service platform,, that helps all Sweden's waste producers, both large companies and small businesses as private households, find the most cost-effective solution to their waste management and recycling needs. The service is free for users, the revenue comes from the more than 800 connected, environmentally-recognized recycling companies that are affiliated with the platform.
