Reworks, a Helsinki, Finland-based game developer, announced that it raised €4 million ($4.3M) in a capital investment round.

The funding was backed from investors from the Nordic area, led by EQT Ventures and including Play Ventures and Anton Gauffin, who is acting CEO at Huuuge Games. As part of the investment EQT Venture's Lars Jörnow has joined the Reworks board.

Reworks, founded at the end of 2018 and led by CEO Ilkka Teppo, has been working on the development of a game named Redecor, an interactive home designer title that allows players to remodel their home as they see fit. This is the first release from Reworks, with funds raised going towards the growth of the title. To create new games with photo-realistic quality, the studio uses a custom-built REPLAY 3D engine and content platform. The engine enables fast roll-out of new 3D customisation games, while the platform is tuned for production of new daily content.

Prior to this round, just after its founding, Reworks closed a pre-seed financing round totalling EUR 1.3M ($1.5M).

Total investments received (USD): 5.77M
