RoboCorp raised a $5.6 million seed investment led by Benchmark Capital.

RoboCorp, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup working on the development of a cloud platform for open source Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tech, announced closing in a $5.6M capital investment round.

The funding was made by American investors, led by Benchmark, with participation from Slow Ventures, Firstminute Capital, Bret Taylor (president and chief product officer at Salesforce) and Docker CEO Rob Bearden. In addition, Benchmark’s Peter Fenton will be joining the company’s board.

RoboCorp, founded in 2019 and by CEO Antti Karjalainen, Teppo Koskinen, Sampo Ahokas, and Jouko Ahvenainen, is set out to change Robotic Process Automation by making it accessible to everyone through license-free open source technologies, delivered from a cloud platform.

The company operates from San Francisco, USA where it has sales and marketing, and from Finland where it has product development.

Prior to this round, Robocorp raised pre-seed capital from Siili Solutions Oyj.
