Ruokaboksi secured €3.5 million from Tesi, Nordic FoodTech VC and other investors from Finland.

Ruokaboksi, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup providing a food delivery service, secured a €3.5 million ($3.6 million) capital investment round.

The money was raised from investors from Finland including Tesi, Nordic FoodTech VC and existing shareholders.

Ruokaboksi, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Juhana Rintala, built a a weekly subscription ready-made meal box, which is delivered straight to the customers door and includes all the ingredients with dinner recipes needed for the week. The company has 3 different sized meal boxes to choose from, based on preferences for e.g. vegetarian or child-friendly recipes - it says it delivers to some 100,000 households, from Helsinki to Rovaniemi, which produced sales of roughly €20 million in 2021.

Ruokaboksi previously raised some $2 million (last round in 2020), and other investors include Innovestor Ventures, Korpi Capital and Reaktor Ventures.
