Ryds Bilglas gets Nordic Capital as major investor in the company.
Ryds Bilglas, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing vehicle glass repair and replacement services, announced that private equity firm Nordic Capital signed an agreement to acquire 90% of the shares in the company.
The transaction was made through Nordic Capital Fund VIII and has the financial details undisclosed.
The shares will be acquired from Nalka Invest and the founding family Ryd. The Ryd family will remain as shareholders with 10% of the Company and will also remain on the Board of Directors.
Ryds Bilglas, founded in 1947 by the Ryd family and led by CEO Anders Jensen, is one of the leading vehicle glass repair and replacement companies in Sweden and is also active in the Norwegian market.
The company has annual revenues of SEK 700M ($82M) and has more than 100 workshops with over 350 employees.
