Salary was acquired by Ageras.
Ageras, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company operating a B2B marketplace for accountants and other service providers for SMEs, announced that it acquired Salary, a local Denmark-based provider of a salary software system.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Salary, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Brian Brorsbøl, develops software tools that make it easier for both business owners and accountants to make payroll, and to challenge the traditional and complex payroll systems in the market. The company is primarily aiming at small and medium-sized companies and has experienced strong growth over the past two years, with a customer base that has grown from 3,000 to more than 7,000 customers.
Ageras, founded in 2011 by CEO Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund, developed an online platform offering matching services to small and medium-sized enterprises and micro-businesses, connecting them with professional services providers such as accountants and lawyers.
The company was acquired by Investcorp, which acquired 60% of the company in 2017, Rabo Frontier and Lugard Road Capital, the affiliate of the American hedge fund Luxor Capital Group. Ageras raised $73.5 million at the beginning of 2021.
