Samon AB was acquired by Alder.

Samon, a Malmö (Vellinge), Sweden-based manufacturer of gas detection solutions, announced getting into an investment agreement for being acquired by the Swedish private equity company Alder.

Financial details were not disclosed. As a result of the acquisition Jonas Sjöström, founder and CEO of Samon AB, will continue as CEO and minority shareholder together with the entire management group who also invest in the new company.

Samon, founded in 1990 and led by Jonas Sjöström,is a world leading niche provider of refrigerant gas detection solutions for industrial, commercial, and marine applications. The company offers complete gas surveillance products targeting a growing non-cyclical segment benefitting from increasingly stringent regulations and environmental requirements.
