Samsung buys Melaud, a Swedish startup providing headphones activated by body impulses.
Melaud, a headphone manufacturer based in Stockholm, Sweden, was acquired by Samsung, in a deal aimed for getting the intellectual property of the Swedish startup.
Melaud, founded in 2015 by Sammy Pergament and Amir Adlouni, developed headphones that can control the music based on the body signals, namely, the heart rate and movements while exercising.
The company went under the radar, without launching an actual product, was backed by The Springfield Project, Almi or Vinnova.
