Sana Labs raised SEK 12.5M from Sven Hagströmer, Laurent Leksell and Max Ventures.

Sana Labs, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company providing an AI-based education tool, completed a new investment round of SEK 12.5M ($1.4M).

The money was provided by a range of new and existing investors, including Sven Hagströmer, Laurent Leksell and Max Ventures.

Sana Labs, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Joel Hellermark, develops personalized digital education courses based on every student’s unique learning patterns.

The company works with education providers, which pay a sub fee for accessing a machine learning platform to recommend the optimal next step for each student. Sana Labs platform is used mainly for maths, languages and general test preparation and aims to cover a wider range of subjects in the future.

Prior to this, Sana Labs raised more than $2.5M in capital investment.
