Schibsted acquires major equity package in Zoopit

Zoopit, an Oslo, Norway-based provider of delivery services, announced in a press release that its shareholder, the media group Schibsted, acquired more shares in the company.

The deal, which values the Zoopit at NOK 70M ($6.8M), was made by Schibsted Distribution and the founders of the company, Arne Kvale and Shafi Adan. Post transaction, Schibsted owns 75% and existing shareholder NorgesGruppen the rest of 25%.

Zoopit, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Nora Rieber-Mohn, developed a logistics platform that promises delivery of goods in Oslo in less than 90 minutes. In 2019, the company recorded NOK 10.3M ($1M) in sales.
