Seniovo announced raising €2 million in a Series A financing round from PropTech1 Ventures, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft, and the German Media Pool.

Seniovo, a Berlin, Germany-based proptech startup helping seniors in need of care to reform their apartments and houses, raised €2 million ($2.2M) in a Series A financing round.

The money was raised from existing investors, including PropTech1 Ventures, IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft, and the German Media Pool. They also invested in the company in 2018.

Seniovo, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Jonathan Kohl, works with seniors to secure grant and state funding for reforms, and with specialized contractors throughout Germany to carry them out. The startup offers advice through its platform, and digitizes the entire application and reconstruction process.

In many cases, people in need of care don’t have to make any private payment - Seniovo’s success rate in applying for subsidies for people in need of long-term care is 95%. Seniovo has already helped more than 500 people successfully reconstruct their homes.
