Sesamy, a Stockholom, Sweden-based startup building an audio and e-book online platform, announced the completion of a SEK 44M ($5.3M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from investors from Sweden, led by GP Bullhound, and including contributions from Edastra and Peter Dahlberg, founder and former CEO of AniCura. Proceeds will be used for international expansion throughout 2021.

Sesamy, founded in 2020 by Måns Ulvestam (CEO), Karl Rosander and Markus Ahlstrand (all three founders at Acast) developed a digital marketplace selling e-books and audiobooks to consumers by retail, as opposed to a flat, all-you-can-eat subscription fee.

Total investments received (USD): 10.43M
