Sharin secured $1.1M in seed investment from Luminar and Inventure.

Sharin, a Stockholm, Sweden-based micro insurance provider, announces a seed round investment of EUR 1M ($1.1M).

The money was provided by Nordic seed investors including Inventure, Luminar Ventures and local business angels.

The funding will be used by Sharin to introduce its insurance solution on key platforms in Europe, collect critical datapoints and handle an increasing number of transactions.

Sharin, founded in 2017 by Emanuel Badehi Kullander, Ola Lowden Landström (CEO) and Tobias Mård, built their product based on risk calculation algorithms made with researchers at leading universities in Sweden. The company has a team of seven people and aims to make insurance available on sharing economy platforms in a simple, safe and user-friendly way
