Simple Feast, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company providing a sustainable food delivery service, announced that it has raised $12M in a series A funding.

The investment round was led by UK-based venture capital firm Balderton Capital, with participation from American 14W. Existing investors Sweet Capital and ByFounders are reinvesting.

Simple Feast, founded at the end of 2014 by Jakob Jønck and Thomas Stilling Ambus, offers a subscription service for delivering ready-to-eat plant-based food that is sustainably produced, organic, and delivered straight to the doorstep. The meal solution delivers weekly boxes with three prepared plant-based and 100% organic meals ready to serve in 10 minutes. All meals are delivered in sustainable, bio-degradable packaging free of any plastic. The company employs 20 people full-time.

Prior to this investment round, in 2017, Simple Feast secured capital investment from a range of Danish angel investors, including Lars Fjeldsøe-Nielsen, David Helgason and Michael Sobel.
