Skooler to acquire Swedish education content provider Loops Education

Skooler, an Oslo, Norway-based education company developer of learning technology, announced getting into an agreement for acquiring Loops Education, a Göteborg, Sweden-based learning tool and education content provider.

Financial details of the transaction remained undisclosed.

Skooler, led by CEO Tor Ove Henriksen, CEO, is a supplier of learning technology for primary and secondary education (K-12), supporting students in nine countries. Its tools are integrated with Microsoft Teams and Office 365 and include Planning, Assignments, Assessments, Gradebook and solutions for Parent Communication and Involvement.

The company is backed by Viking Venture and Skeie Capital Investment.

Loops developed a digital platform and learning environment to help educators create and share meaningful learning processes. Educators can combine their own content with resources from the web for visually interesting and engaging teaching, with support for formative assessment and educational planning. The company was backed by Summa Equity.
