smapOne to get €20M in a funding round backed by Nordwind Capital
smapOne, a Hannover, Germany-based software startup, announced that it secured a €20M ($23.5M) capital funding round.
The money was raised from investors from Germany led by Nordwind Capital, and joined by angels including football player Thomas Müller, Deutsche Bank chairman Paul Achleitner, ex-T-Com board member Achim Berg and the former Siemens board chairman Peter Löscher.
smapOne, founded in 2014 by Sven Zusatz and Thomas Schwarz, developed a software framework enabling other companies prototype mobile apps in less than 30 minutes. The tool is said to have been used for building more than 50k projects, with paying customers including Vonovia, Tüv Austria Schweiz and Dachser. The company has 65 employees in Dresden, Hanover and Ulm.
