Softpay announced completing a DKK 37 million funding raise from local investors in Denmark.
Softpay, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based developer of a mobile payment solution, announced closing a seed funding round at DKK 37 million ($5.5M).
The money was raised locally from Denmark, from investors including Bestseller owner Anders Holch Povlsen (via Brightfolk) Maj Invest's director Jeppe Christiansen and Jan Lehrmann.
Softpay, founded in 2019 by Ivan Sandqvist, Alexander Haynes, CEO Jesper Rasmussen and Jacob Ajsen, developed an Android-based mobile application that can be turned into a full tap-to-mobile payment terminal and allowing merchants to receive payments anywhere in-store. Customers include Salling Group and Matas.
Softpay previously raised €3 million in 2020.
