Sona raised $2.2 million in a pre-seed round backed by Speedinvest and angel investors.

Sona, a London, UK-based startup developing SAAS used to manage frontline workforces, announced the completion of a $2.2 million (£1.6m) investment round.

The money was raised from investors led by Speedinvest, and joined by angel investors Andy Leaver from Notion Capital and Lorenzo Franzi from Flash Ventures.

Funding will be used for taking the product to market and build business around it.

Sona, founded in 2021 by Ben Dixon, Oli Johnson and Steffen Wulff Petersen, developed a mobile an app that is used for frontline staff to manage their work and engage with their employer. Features include live schedule view, absence management, instant messaging, and Open Shifts, a shift booking platform matching shift vacancies with employees willing to take on more hours.
