Sourceful, a Manchester, UK-based startup building a B2B marketplace used for finding sustainable packaging suppliers, announced closing a $12.2 million seed funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Index Ventures, and joined by Eka Ventures, Venrex and Dylan Field (Figma founder).

Danny Rimer is joining the board on behalf of Index Ventures.

Sourceful, founded in 2020 by CEO Wing Chan, Shiran Zheng and Mary Wang, developed a platform helping other companies source and manage eco-friendly products for their business. The solution is an end-to-end sourcing and supply chain platform focused on sustainability. It uses science and data to help forward-thinking companies make informed decisions, understand their impact and drive continuous improvement.

Sourceful is still in closed beta, in use by 20 customers across a number of categories — such as food & beverages (Foundation Coffee House), fashion and accessories (Fenton), healthcare (Elder), and online marketplaces (Floom and Stitched)
