Spiio receives investment from InQvation.

Spiio, a Copenhagen, Denmark-founded manufacturer of sensors for plants, announced that it closed an undisclosed amount of capital funding.

The money was provided by inQvation, joining backers including byFounders, which invested early 2018, as well as a range of Danish angel investors such as David Helgason, Erik Byrenius, Hampus Jakobsson, Klaus Nyengaard, Thomas Madsen-Mygdal and Tommy Andersen.

Spiio, founded in 2015 by CEO Martin Graulund Dal, has developed a technology that measures plant growth rates data and thus predict when the plants need water and nurturing. The company moved its offices in Silicon Valley as in 2018 joined the Alchemist Accelerator Program from San Francisco
